Dean's Message: College Conversation

Last spring, in my State of the College address, I laid out my vision for the College, focusing on several key areas, including student retention, workplace satisfaction, and support for research, among others. I also announced the implementation of the Dean’s Office’s strategic alignment plan, based off the Jayhawks Rising framework, which emphasizes Student Success, Healthy & Vibrant Communities, and Research & Discovery. That speech was my reflection on the College. Now, I want to hear from you.

To continue working toward a truly shared vision for the College’s future, it is vital that you – our valued faculty and staff – have the opportunity to celebrate what we are collectively doing well, reflect on our progress, and identify areas for improvement, growth, and innovation.

This forum will provide a space for open dialogue where we can come together to discuss our shared successes and explore new ideas for moving forward. It is essential that we hear from you about how we can continue to shape the next phase of our strategic planning and align our efforts with KU’s broader mission, which seeks to meet the evolving needs of our students, faculty, and staff.

Please join us in this important conversation and help us build a stronger, more connected future for the College. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.
